Abstract
This report describes tests made on groups of different numbers and different types of model piles in a laboratory flume in order to ascertain which groupings and pile shapes yield minimum siltation potential. The work was carried out following a literature review (SR214) of the adverse effects of the construction of jetties in tidal flows and publication of an appendix to the above report which was a summary of drag coefficients of individual pile shapes.
