Crossman, M. and Segura Dominguez, S. and Allsop, W. (2003) Low cost rock structures for beach control and coast protection. Technical Report. HR Wallingford.
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
HR Wallingford developped practical design and assessment guidelines for low cost rock structures used in beach control and coast protection. Existing design rules can lead to complex structures incorporating several layers from the foundation materials to the armour cover and construction of these structures is in many cases too costly for this option to be economically viable. This project provided guidance enabling less costly and probably also safer and less environmentally damaging rock structures to be constructed where they can already be justified and a greater use of such structures where they are not presently economically viable.
