Abstract

pyxis has been developed as a HydroInformatics tool to assist with setting up, running and post-processing numerical models of coastal processes. It assists with the collation, storage, creation (through modeling) and communication of information to assist decision makers. Its development has been influenced by a number of modern issues including: quality control (particularly the increased requirement for ISO9001 registration) the rise of open source models and the desire to run integrated models by exchanging information between separate models during runtime using OpenMI.
