A gate operations manual for large scale diversion weirs in Thailand

The manual gives guidelines for the operation of sluice gates at the large diversion weirs in Thailand.

The manual recommends that the depth of water in the sluice channel is continously monitored when sediment deposition causes the depth to drop below a threshold value the it is time to flush sediment form the sluice channel. The manual includes sets of tables which can be used to calculate a suitable value for the threshold depth at each site.
