The operation and maintenance of sustainable drainage infrastructure (and associated costs)

This report describes a management strategy for the day to day care of SUD systems, and applies current landscape maintenance practice to the problems of looking after a predominantly surface drainage infrastructure. Guidance on maintenance techniques is provided and two ‘demonstration sites’ are reviewed to try and gain an understanding of current cost implications associated with the operation and maintenance of SUDS features.
