Abstract
The aim of the Handbook is to support professionals and practitioners in sub-Saharan Africa responsible for the management of water resources at a catchment and sub-catchment level.
The Handbook provides practical guidance for assessing and forecasting water demands and
use for the following sectors:

• Agriculture;
• Rural domestic;
• Urban;
• Industry.
Each of these sectors is covered in a separate chapter.
