Abstract
This report presents the result of a literature search into flow in open channels with particular interest in Flood Channels. The search is presented in the form of three files: a card index file developed on the Apricot micro computer associated with the Flood Channel Facility which indicates the source of the publication and gives details of any experimental facility; a precis of each paper or book accessed indicating the channel type studied, the aims of the paper, conclusions drawn and the nature of the instruments used in the study; details of the channels studied in previous research into flow interaction, secondary flow, turbulence, momentum transfer etc., unified in 5.1 units. Three relevant dimension parameters are also presented.
