Abstract

This report describes the theoretical and experimental background to the design methods of rood gutters and gutter outlets that are contained in a revised version of British Standard Code of Practice CP308. Part 1 describes theoretical solutions for smooth level gutters of rectangular, trapezoidal and half-round cross-sectional shape. Part 2 is concerned with the capacity of rectangular and circular outlets in gutters and box-receivers.
