Abstract

Tables are presented for the determination of the geometric and flow characteristics of stable alluvial channels. These relate the discharge, velocity, depth, slope, surface width, sediment size and sediment concentration. If the sediment size and the values of two other variables are known, the remaining four variables can be determined.
