Spencer, J.M.A. (1991) Further tests of a directional wave recorder - the Sea Data 621. Technical Report. HR Walingford.
Abstract
The Sea Data 621 is an electromagnetic current meter and pressure transducer combined so as to be suitable for measuring both wave heights and directions when positioned on a shallow sea bed. HR Wallingford purchased an example. Its performance in its first sea trial (described in Reference 1) was however unsatisfactory due to various malfunctioning components. This report describes a subsequent field trial, undertaken off Folkestone in April 1989.
