Abstract
This report describes the development of instrumentation for field measurement of the thermal effluent from power station outfalls. The equipment consists of an array of five short time-constant thermistor probes and a pressure sending depth meter which are towed from a survey vessel. The results of field measurements of the thermal outfall plume from Fawley Power Station are presented.
