Abstract
The Sea Data 621 is an electromagnetic current meter and pressure transducer combined so as to be suitable for measuring both wave heights and directions when positioned on a shallow sea bed. HR Wallingford purchased an example. Its performance in its first sea trial (described in Reference 1) was however unsatisfactory due to various malfunctioning components. This report describes a subsequent field trial, undertaken off Folkestone in April 1989.
