Abstract

We have further developed our time domain model, SHIPMOOR, to be able to treat wide frequency band responses accurately. This report describes those developments and their use in simulating a ship moored in waves. Comparison with experimental results gives valuable confirmation of SHIPMOOR's accuracy. We have also developed a separate mathematical model of forces induces on a moored ship by a passing ship. This has also been verified by comparison with experimental and the results are described in this report.
