Abstract

The report describes the further development of a finite difference model which was originally formulated to solve the Boussinesq equations in water of constant depth. The main objective of the work reported here was to extend the mathematical model to allow the effects of depth variation to be included. In addition, changes were also made to the existing model boundary conditions to allow a random wave train to be specified as input.
